The Korea Times : Satellite DMB Soars on Baseball Frenzy

The telcos have long aspired to fuel interest in , and currently believe that short form video (pop music, cartoons, news) is the way that stoke interest in mobile video. They are going to be proved wrong. As evidence, look at what’s happening in Korea at the moment. That old subscription driver, sport, has created a frenzy of interest in satellite TV-to-phone subscription services as the country has been swept up by their national teams progress at the World Baseball Classic in the US.
T-DMB mobile TV commercial services will begin in Germany this May. Samsung and LG Electronics will be amongst the first to supply phones.
