Free HDTV upgrade for Mac users

March 24th, 2006 · No Comments

Are you a Mac user fed up with XP-ites having all the HDTV fun? Elgato Systems, a developer of digital television recorder solutions for the platform, has just released EyeTV 2.1. This Universal Binary update is available as a free download for existing EyeTV 2 users, and brings full-resolution playback of HDTV to portable and consumer desktop Macs such as the MacBook Pro, the new iMac and the Mac mini.
The update also increases the speed and ease of exporting television shows to devices, which is rather handy too.
A complimentary Universal Binary update is also available for EyeConnect. EyeConnect 1.1 is a UPnP AV media streaming solution that runs natively on all Mac platforms. High definition content recorded with EyeTV can be streamed from any Macintosh to a compatible UPnP AV media player connected to a living room television. For more go to .
