Arcam to introduce 1080p DVD player

April 4th, 2006 · No Comments

UK specialist home cinema and hi-fi brand Arcam is to release two new AV components in May, the Diva AVR 350 HDMI-enabled reciever and matching DV 137 DVD player. The latter offers video up-scaling to 1080p. Details on both are sparse but expect them to sell for around £1,500 a piece. “These new models set performance benchmarks in their class and show why you should wait two years before touching or ,” toots a spokesman. The two will follow on from the launch of the brand’s Diva AVP700 processor and P1000 power amplifier combination. The AVP700 (pictured above) combines HDMI switching alongside Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES, DTS 24/96 & Dolby Pro Logic IIx decoding, with the usual minimalist aesthetics.
