Averting LCD TV shortages

April 4th, 2006 · No Comments

The Fuji Photo Film Company has confirmed that it intends to invest 70 billion yen in two factories specifically to manufacture Triacetyl Cellulose film, essential to the production of liquid crystal display panels. Recently Sony raised concerns that CCFL backlight shortages and not panel production could ultimately dictate the market price of LCD TVs.
