LCD flatscreens just keep getting cheaper

Sharp Aquos flatscreens

Those s just keep getting cheaper. According to market research company Witsview, which monitors the street price of LCD TV and plasma in six countries, including the UK, US, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China, the street price of screens has stabilized while LCD TV continues to fall. By the end of April, 37 inch LCD screens typically were down 4.23 per cent and 32 inch down 2.8 per cent.
A per-inch price comparison between LCD and plasma TVs shows the ticket difference between 42 inch LCD TV and plasma TV has remained constant for two consecutive months. However, the per-inch price gap between 37 inch LCD and plasma has widened, with LCD losing the most retail value. Bad news for the trade, but good news for buyers hunting for bargain flat-screens.
