Sharp unveils eight new Aquos LCD TVs

Sharp will shortly introduced eight new HD Ready Aquos s into the UK. The new models range in size from 32 to 37 inches, and come in either Freeview or analogue tuner variations.
All employ 1,366 x 768 resolution Advanced Super View Black TFT panels, with a 6ms response time and a viewing angle of 176 degrees.
Connections on the entry-level sets include HDMI, two Scart connections, AV/S-Video In, Audio Out, PC In and headphones. On the higher-end GA9/GD9 models, dual HDMI inputs are included, along with the company’s proprietary TruD anti-judder technology for picture, contrast and sharpness enhancement. On the Freeview models, a CI Slot is also included for Top Up TV.
The sets go on sale at the end of June.
As yet, the company has made no announcement regarding new 1080p screens, despite recently introducing a range in the US.
