Pioneer HTP-GS1
Pioneer will introduce a surround sound package designed to partner the into the UK this summer. Its new HTP-GS1 has a matching pearl white and silver colour scheme and console-curved body, and will sell for around £300.
Like previous Pioneer systems, it features 3-spot surround (bounce surround channels for a rear-effect), MCACC auto setup and calibration mode, along with 600w of power.
The subwoofer cleverly contains all the power amps, leaving the control module to sit atop the Xbox 360 console. Both Dolby Digital and DTS decoding are standard. The system can be configured for wired 5.1 if required.
The HTPGS1 is not the first time that Pioneer has worked closely with Microsoft on complimentary Xbox kit. It previously released branded wireless surround sound headphones into the Japanese market.
