July 16th, 2006 · No Comments

Move over Hollywood, independent software suppliers are jumping onto the HD disc bandwagon.
Indie outfit BCI Entertainment says it will launch 20 titles before the end of the year, starting with That’s the Way of the World, starring Harvey Keitel and Earth, Wind and Fire on Aug 13. It will be followed by SF cult favourite Galaxina, and the martial arts movie Golgo 13 on September 12.
Also on HD DVD, from Live Nation, are the rock releases Motley Crue: Carnival of Sins and Ozzfest 10th Anniversary, due pre-Xmas.
Goldhil Entertainment says it will be launch art-house flick Chronos on both HD DVD and before the end of the year, while documentary specialist Razor Digital Entertainment will issue Africa the Serengeti, Alaska: Spirit of the Wild, Amazing Journeys and National Parks Odyssey on Blu-ray. The censored cut of big-budget favourite Pirates will also come to HD, although distributor MTI Home Video has not yet chosen a side.
