Plasma sales boom, Panasonic tops sales chart

Plasma TV sales are booming. According to the latest market data from Displaysearch, shipments of plasma screens are up 95 percent year-on-year. Worldwide sales over the past quarter hit 2.2 million units, which means that plasma now accounts for 20 per cent of all worldwide TV hardware revenue.

Panasonic UK to introduce Blu-ray in October

Panasonic will introduce its first Blu-ray player into the UK as early as October. The DMP-BD10 (pictured above) is expected to sell for around 1000 UK pounds and 1,400 Euros in Europe.

Fox announces UK Blu-ray movie launch in November

Mike Dunn President Worldwide Home Entertainment for 20th Century Fox says the studio will introduce its first nine Blu-ray movies worldwide this November.
