Apple gives Norwegian regulators the cold shoulder

Apple defends iTunes-iPod compatibility

Apple has brushed aside complaints from Scandinavian regulators, claiming it is fully justified in making the iPod range and iTunes service proprietary. According to this report from Business Week Online (click link above), Norway’s consumer watchdog has been disappointed by Apple’s 50-page rebuff, claiming that the company had conceded some but not all of its demands.
Apple proclaimed that it was not prepared to change its business model and denied that it infringed user’s rights in regard to copyright laws.
