Sharp announces first internet LCD TVs

Sharp has announced a range of Aquos internet s for the Japanese market. The screens will come in two sizes initially, 32- and 37W-inch screen sizes, and feature internal hard drives of up to 500GB, capable of recording high-definition video TV.
The screens will also have a new remote control interface designed to make surfing the internet easy. Sharp is one of five Japanese majors which have recently announced the development of a common platform to allow users to access internet data and entertainment services without the need for a PC, mouse or keyboard.
