Microsoft and Nintendo’s Controller Headache

An obscure Texas-based company called Anascape has sued Microsoft and Nintendo over patents related to their control devices. The move follows a successful action against Sony by Immersion, which claimed a patent infringement related to Force feedback. According to this report (click link above), Anascape has accused both of infringing a variety of patents issued between 1999 and 2005 and cover fundamental aspects of the controller such as pressure sensors and analogue control.
