Rocky Mountain News: Movies & TV

A study of news consumption reveals that the TV remains the major source of information for Americans, despite growing use of the internet for day-to-day activities. While half spend 30 minutes a day viewing TV news coverage, just 9 percent spend a similar amount of time getting news from the internet. According to this report (click link above) older net users are far more likely to get news online than youngsters.
Predictably, most Americans have a declining interest in world events. Just 39 percent of respondents confessed to following international news coverage. 27 percent of under-30s claimed that they didn’t get any news from television, newspapers, radio or the internet.
