Sandisk introduce 10GB flash memory player

August 26th, 2006 · No Comments

How long before flash memory MP3 devices replace hard drive products? Not long, if SanDisk’s latest and video player is any indication.
The Sansa e280 has a whopping 8GB of embedded memory and a microSD expansion slot which allows another 2GB of storage capacity to be added. According to spokesman Eric Bone, “the most costly ingredient in a flash-based MP3 player is the flash memory and as we make the flash memory, we can remove the middleman.”
