September 3rd, 2006 · No Comments

Fox’s Home Entertainment boss Mike Dunn says all of his studio’s upcoming releases will feature regional coding: “We’re a strong supporter of regional coding. And we definitely want to make sure that BD releases do not beat the theatrical releases of each title. We have to protect the creative community.”
He also confirmed that Fox has no plans to release title on . “We have spent a lot of time on the interactivity and as a result the consumer experience is a giant leap forward.” Speaking at the Berlin IFA show, he admitted that the take up of Blu-ray will not be as dramatic as that for DVD. “People will upgrade and replace their DVDs libraries, but not in the same way people upgraded from VHS to DVD.”
