Moore outlines Microsoft’s 100m Xbox vision // GamesIndustry.biz
Xbox Master Chief Peter Moore has announced that he’s aiming to hit 100 million sales for the 360, and sees the introduction of so-called ‘Family Funster’ products as key to the challenge.
Speaking in Barcelona, where the brand recently shocked the Blu-ray camp by announcing a 130 pound price point for the Xbox 360’s HD DVD drive, he said “We recognise that what we call the ‘Family Funster’ category (ie software like PS2’s Singstar and Guitar hero), is something we need to do better on. If you’re going to hit 100 million you need to address that market. We’re still finding ways to be able to do that, but we will. I absolutely guarantee that we will.”
