Motorola is getting into the high def business. As part of a recent acquisition drive, it has purchased Vertasent LLC, a software developer specializing in HDTV and IPTV applications.
The star app in the Vertasent portfolio is an Integrated Resource Management suite which allows live, video-on-demand and IPTV networks to be streamed and controlled throughout the home using standardised hardware. The Vertasent team will be based in Motorola’s Connected Home Solutions business unit. Should be interesting to see what comes out…
