HD discs move into mainstream

Both HD DVD and Blu-ray have taken a step closer to the US mainstream, following the news that cut-price US retailer target is now stocking both formats in the run up to Christmas. The discs are being positioned alongside promotional material for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
