Sony must find ways to offset PS3 launch, says boss

Sony CEO CEO Howard Stringer admits that his company will need to work hard to find ways to pay for the development and launch of the -based . Sony’s latest set of financial results reveal yet more fiscal pain, but its boss says “We have to generate some excitement and profits from elsewhere in the company to offset the performance of PlayStation 3.”
He dismissed comments about the delays affecting the success of the product. “Every complex technology runs the risk of delays,” he says.
