December 2nd, 2006 · No Comments

Dolby takes viewers behind the making of its latest sound trailer, dubbed City Redux, with the first of three previews available for viewing here on . The first clip shows the new trailer as a wire frame animation. Dolby says that the promo “takes viewers on a fast-moving journey through a futuristic city with edgy visual design elements and dynamic sound engineering. The focal point of the trailer is the juxtaposition of a majestic Art Deco theatre building in the heart of the modern city, emphasizing the importance and timelessness of cinema in any age.”
City Redux has been created by award-winning 3D matte painter Kent Matheson of Radium (who worked on Superman Returns and The Matrix Revolutions) and Academy award-winning sound designer Stephen Dewey of Machine Head.
