JVC is to introduce a high definition model to its Everio line of hard drive camcorders later this year. The GZ-HD7 can record up to five hours of 1920x1080i video onto its 60GB hard drive. The three CDD model utilizes a Fujinon lens and comes bundled with editing and archiving software. A price has yet to be announced. Joining the HD cam will be a new range of standard def Everio’s. This G series introduce the ability to record either to a 30GB integrated hard drive or SDHC, the new high capacity SD card.
