Microsoft continues to pay a high price for its Xbox dream. Redmond’s Entertainment and Devices division has reduced estimates for Xbox360 sales through 2007 and posted a 289 million dollar loss for its second quarter. Microsoft now says it will ship 12 million consoles by the end of June, down from an earlier estimate that was upwards of 15 million. The company says that it is just being cautious. Overall, Microsoft Corp. posted a profit of 2.63 billion dollars.
