Supermarket to offer movie downloads

Could big supermarket chains like Tesco and Asda be set to carve themselves a slice of the digital distribution pie´┐Ż In the US, Asda parent Wal-Mart has inked a groundbreaking deal with six studios (Disney, Warner, Paramount, Sony, Fox and Universal) to offer blockbuster movies and hit TV shows from its US website. It is the first US retail operation to offer such a service.
Movies will be go for between 13 and 20 dollars and will be online day and date with their DVD release. Back catalogue titles will be available for 7.50 dollars.
