February 16th, 2007 · 1 Comment

The majority of the British public are now tuned into the concept of the digital TV switch-over from analogue TV services. So maintains industry regulator Ofcom and governing body Digital UK; the pair rate consumer awareness at 80 per cent. In early switch-over TV regions such as Border and West Country, 91 per cent of viewers are said to be aware of the plans. The number of consumers apparently “comfortable with the switchover process” is claimed by Digital UK to be a massive 82 per cent.
The highest level of awareness (95 per cent) was recorded in Whitehaven, which switches this October.
