Hitachi has released details of its budget-priced 50-inch TV. The T-series P50T01 (pictured below), which is expected to go on sale in April for around 1500 pounds, is based on a 1280×1080 resolution panel, has a Freeview tuner, and utilizes the latest generation of the brand’s proprietary Picture Master processing technology. The brand says that the screen is ‘not only for the home cinema devotee but for the entire family.’
“Our designers in Milan worked closely with our Japanese development teams to create a new ‘family’ look for the 50-inch Plasma and all models in the new T range,” comments Richard Bass, Senior Manager, Display Products at Hitachi. “This new sets boast a sleeker more curvaceous frame, ultra-slim, bottom mounted speakers and slimmer tapered bezels.”
Connectivity includes two HDMIs and three SCARTs. Joining it will be a matching 42-inch 1024×1080 model (P42T01), and a 32inch IPS Alpha (L32T01).
