Toshiba has slashed the cost of its Stateside HD DVD players, as competition from the PlayStation 3 hots up. The company took 100 dollars off both its HD-A2 and HD-A20 budget players, and 200 dollars off the high-end HD-XA2. The new prices come into effect on April 1. There’s no confirmation yet that Toshiba will take similar action in the UK.
