Sony affiliate Field Emission Technologies Inc., will demonstrate its FED screen technology at the Display 2007 expo this week, (April 18-20, Tokyo Big Site). The company, of which Sony has a 36.5 per cent stake, will unveil a prototype 20 inch SXGA resolution screen with 0.3-mm pixel pitch. FET Inc says that it hopes to make Full HD 26 inch screens for professional use, once it acquires suitable hardware production partners. FED is a next generation screen technology which some analysts predict could rival plasma and LCD in the high-end screen market.
