The UK is to get its first TV channel and website dedicated to e-sport and computer gaming. Xleague TV will launch on Sky in May and promises onscreen gaming across a variety of videogame platforms, and a variety of genres. Featured games which it hopes will become popular spectator sports are Pro Evolution Soccer 6, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Project Gotham Racing 3, Gears of War, Halo 2 , Dead or Alive 4 (all for the Xbox 360); Resistance: Fall of Man and Motorstorm, via the PlayStation 3, and Command & Conquer 3:Tiberium Wars and Quake 4 for the PC. It’ll be interesting to see if the screen time devoted to the Xbox 360 will help it maintain its market lead over the more poorly represented PS3.
