Mix and match DVDs made to order

May 4th, 2007 · No Comments

US bargain retailer Wal-Mart, ever eager to carve a niche for itself in the digital delivery market, is reportedly working closely with Hewlett-Packard (a partner in its existing movie-download service) to offer a DVD-on-demand service.
Not unlike Amazon US’s Customflix service, the operation would allow consumers to create bespoke DVDs, perhaps containing a variety of TV shows, complete with packaging. Wal-Mart would burn and ship the mix and match discs as ordered.
