Bose Vs CEDIA round two

May 8th, 2007 · No Comments

It’s beginning to look like Bose hasn’t quite given up on its pursuit of installation company CEDIA. Having lost its lawsuit against CEDIA’s use of the word Lifestyle, as part of its Electronic Lifestyles brand, Bose is apparently now debating whether to appeal the decision of the US Patent and Trademark Office.
The hi-fi company’s original attempt to cancel the trademark was ‘dismissed on all grounds.’  It currently claims all rights to the word Lifestyle used in conjunction with music systems. Bose can launch an appeal against the decision but is unable to put forward new evidence to justify its claim.
