Pioneer to introduce network Blu-ray player

May 8th, 2007 · No Comments

Pioneer will launch its first European player in June. The piano-black BDP-LX70 can output 1080p at 24Hz and has onboard Dolby TrueHD audio decoding. Unlike rival models from Panasonic and Samsung, the unit also has an Ethernet connection allowing it to access and stream media from a networked PC. Pioneer says that the player is DLNA compliant and compatible with MPEG2, WMV9, WMA9 Pro, MP3 and JPEG files formats, as well as DVD and audio CDs.
