Krell to launch Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD processor

May 23rd, 2007 · No Comments

High-end hi-fi and AV brand Krell will debut its first preamp/surround processor with Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio this autumn. The Evolution 707 will also have HDMI 1.3 switching and uses integrated upscaling to deliver 1080p from standard def sources. It’s expected to sell for around 25,000 dolllars.
Those who have already invested in Krell’s current preamp/pro S-1000 combo will be able to upgrade for a mere 1,500 dollars. Other features of the 707 include nine proprietary surround music modes and Faroudja DCDi processing, to remove jaggies. Distribution in the UK is via Absolute Sounds.
