PS3 gets DVD and PS2 1080p upscaling

The will get a number of attractive multimedia upgrades with its latest firmware update. The 1.80 download, due today (May 24), will offer DVD upscaling to 1080p, bringing it in line with dedicated players, as well as the ability to upscale emulated PSOne and PS2 games to Full HD. Another significant addition is the ability to view media content on any other DLNA-compliant device on a home network.
