The media PC isn’t dead just yet. High-end computer brand (and Dell subsidiary) Alienware is the first to debut a PC based on AMD’s new home entertainment processor, which its maker’s say will spawn a wide range of hardware this year. The spectacular Hangar18 HD Entertainment Center (pictured), which sells for 2,000 dollars, is built around an Athlon 64 X2 dual-core chip, and features an HDTV PVR, DVD/CD burner and 2 terabytes of hard-drive storage. The company says that it’s not intended to look or fell like a PC, and is orientated for control via a remote handset.
