The managing director of the Comet CE retail chain Hugh Harvey has blasted consumer electronics companies, claiming that they are not producing enough high-end kit. Speaking at the trade-only Intellect CE Conference, he said brands need to put value back into the market. “I want to sell your best products – not your cheapest ones .Give us proper training and demonstrations, so we can bring your products to life in-store. He warned that companies that just chase retail share above all else risk accelerating the “devaluation of products and technologies.”
