UK market analyst Decision Tree Consulting has declared 3LCD the dominant front projection display technology, outpacing rival DLP, after totting up projector sales for 2006 and Q1 2007. It says sales of 3LCD projectors exceeded 2.5 million in 2006. According to senior consultant Mike Fisher: “The front projector market is growing at 20 per cent and 3LCD has been the number one technology since we’ve been tracking annual vendor shipments.”
