Toshiba says it will maintain the 299 dollar price point for its HD-A2 entry level HD DVD player in the US. Sales rocketed when the brand trialled the price as a sales promotion. The HD-A20 is ticketed at 399 dollars, with the top of the range HD-XA2 at 799 dollars.

I wonder if that is going to be enough for the HD DVD camp… the Blu-ray Disc Association is giving away 5 free Bluray films with each new Bluray player purchase (including PS3).
