The HD DVD camp is banking on the format’s newly enabled interactive internet capabilities to give it an edge over rival Blu-ray. The first online interactive disc is the anime title Freedom, from Bandai. Users can change menu styles and download a trailer from the Internet. The newly released Blood Diamond also has a selection of online features, including a poll. The bar will be raised further with the HD DVD release of 300, which promises to allow viewers to actually re-edit the film or play an online strategy game based on the movie.
