Sales spike for cheaper PS3

Sony says that sales of the 60GB have risen 133 per cent in the US after its recent price cut to 499 dollars.  Online retailers such as Amazon have seen sales spike and SCEA president Jack Tretton says that sell-through has doubled at all the leading US high-street retailers.
Video games sales overall are up 44 per cent in the US, over the first half of 2007. The bulk of the growth is coming on the back of the Nintendo , which is outselling the Xbox 360 and PS3 combined.
