Little appetite for HD in China

According to market research firm In-Stat, the Chinese consumer is showing little interest in . Even though the 2008 Beijing Olympics is being viewed worldwide as a driver for the technology, take-up in China remains slow.  In-Stat believes that HDTV subscriber revenues will equate to ‘just’ 358 million dollars by 2011. Annual HD player sales are expected to be around 4.4 million units in the same year.
