TV has finally come to the UK’s iTunes service. 28 different shows are being offered from the outset, with the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 all expected to offer catch-up services. While the BBC content will be free to view, other broadcasters are expected to charge. The catalogue includes episodes from Lost, Grey’s Anatomy and South Park, priced at 1.89 pounds a download. The introduction of more varied TV content is expected to finally breathe some life into the moribund Apple TV streaming device at retail.
