According to the NPD Group, CE chain Best Buy is the leading Blu-ray and HD DVD retailer in the US. The store has the biggest market share of sales, easing it ahead of second-placed Amazon, Wal-Mart and Target. Spokesman Brian Lucas said that the store’s pioneering work in developing HDTV sales were paying off, and that its customers ‘understood’ hi-def.
