More than 100 million LCD TVs will ship worldwide during 2008, according to market number-cruncher iSuppli. The figure could be even higher depending on the level of worldwide interest created by the Beijing Olympics. LCD TV sales are predicted to rise to 160 million annually by 2011. According to iSuppli, plasma screens will ship around 20 million units in 2011, with most sales coming in the larger screen sizes.
