Transformers becomes biggest selling HD DVD yet

Paramount has announced huge sales for the blockbuster hit Transformers on . The movie sold 100,000 copies on its first day and more than 190,000 in its first week, making it theĀ  the best-selling HD DVD yet. Interestingly, the studio says that during its first week, over 20 per cent of owners have accessed the disc’s web-enabled features.
Says Kelley Avery, president, Worldwide Home Entertainment, Paramount Pictures: “The Transformers HD DVD exemplifies the high definition experience and builds tremendous excitement with consumers for the HD DVD format. Clearly consumers are excited about seeing great films like this in high definition and their response to this HD DVD has been extraordinary.”
