Bugs Bunny enlisted to help Xbox 360 combat Wii

October 25th, 2007 · No Comments

Warner has remastered its famed Looney Tunes animation library in high definition and has begun to offer them for sale through Microsoft’s Live Marketplace. 50 titles featuring Bugs Bunny and the iconic gang are now available to US subscribers. The hi-def shorts are also expected to find their way on Blu-ray and HD DVD during 2008.
The move coincides with an attempt by Microsoft to court less hardcore gamers to its system and services, a demographic where the Nintendo remains dominant. TV and movie downloads are expected to begin on the UK’s Xbox Live service before the end of the year.
