HD DVD sales soar as HD price war breaks out

Sales of Toshiba players have soared over the past week as US stores battle to offer consumers the best price deals possible on players. The brand’s HD-A2 model enjoyed the brunt of the price-cutting, with models selling for less than 100 dollars in some outlets. As many as 90,000 units were reported sold during the promotional period.
