Father of PlayStation honoured

Ken Kutaragi, widely regarded as the father of the PlayStation will receive a Lifetime Achievement award at the prestigious Interactive Achievement Awards to be held in the US next February. Kutaragi left Sony last April, following an unspectacular launch for the and a falling-out with Sony CEO Sir Howard Stringer. A spokesperson for the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences says Kutaragi “helped to shape home entertainment above and beyond what anybody expected. None of us would have jobs without him.”
