Panasonic unveiled the world’s largest flatscreen TV at the Las Vegas CES. The 150-inch display is also the world’s first to offer Digital Cinema 4K2K resolution. The 8 million pixel image was fed upscaled Full HD video content for its live demos. The prototype model, appropriately dubbed Life Screen, will be produced in Matsushita’s fifth generation Japanese PDP plant, which comes on stream in 2009. No pricing details were announced, although the company admits that buyers are expected to be corporate or public services. “Although it’s likely it’ll also turn up in a few rich people’s homes as well,” a spokesman admitted.
