High-end speaker brand back from the dead

January 21st, 2008 · No Comments

The Miller & Kreisel speaker brand is heading back to specialist dealer showrooms, after the bankrupt company was purchased by ‘a team of Danish audio veterans.’ The brand’s new Managing Director is Chris Minto. Minto previously headed up M & K’s Professional Division. “Our focus will be to maintain and even improve M&K’s product and service quality,” says Minto. “Those classic M & K products that our customers know and love will be kept on, and those products that are not up to our highest standards will be dropped in favour of newer, better products. We intend to provide the best possible listening experience to the audio professional and to the home theater enthusiast alike. Everyone associated with the new M & K is a dedicated audiophile. We have a tremendous crew of talented people whose energy and passion is focused on the art and science of high quality sound reproduction. Every one of our speakers will reflect that focus.”
The new Danish owners also have long history with M & K as well as strong links with Tymphany, one of the world leaders in loudspeaker drive unit manufacturer and the suppliers of the drive units used in most M & K models.
