Wii sales well fit, Sony to miss target

January 24th, 2008 · No Comments

The Nintendo Wii has now sold more than 5 million units in its native Japan. Sales data compiled by Enterbrain also reveals that Nintendo’s flagship software release Super Mario Galaxy is being outsold by both Mario Party 8 and its new Wii Fit system. In related news, speculation is mounting amid financial circles that Sony will fall short of its target to sell 11 million PS3s worldwide by March. Sales in the US continue to trail the Xbox 360 and Wii, despite price cuts.
